Super Falcons and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala has been nominated for the 2023 Women’s Ballon D’or award, following her outstanding performance for club and Nigeria’s female national team.
Oshoala, the reigning African women player of the year won the Champions League, Primera Division and Supercopa de Espana Femenina, to complete the trebble for her club, Barcelona last year
The Super Falcons star was first nominated for Female Ballon D’or award in 2022.
Asisat Oshoala was nominated for the 2023 Ballon D’or award alongside 29 other players among whom are Aitana Bonmati (Spain & Barcelona), Millie Bright (England & Chelsea), Linda Caicedo (Colombia & Real Madrid l), Olga Carmona (Spain & Real Madrid) and Rachel Dally (England & Aston Villa).
The winner of the 2023 Ballon D’or award is expected to be announced by the organizers in a few weeks time.
