Friends, colleagues and associates of Dr. Oluwole Ajifowoke, PhD., MSc., Med., BSc., NCE (Technical Education), QAA, 1QA, RPL (Construction); Principal, Government Technical College, Odomola, Epe, are putting arrangements together to celebrate his statutory retirement and the 60th birthday of the scholar.
Dr Ajifowoke, popularly called “Wolex” or “It can only get better” by friends and admirers, is also a Member of the Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, who has been serving Lagos State government for years in different capacities and is due for retirement on the 23rd of October, 2026 with several unprecedented achievements.

The retirement and birthday celebration is scheduled to hold at Government Technical College, Odomola, Epe.
According to organisers, the ‘Dr Ajifowoke Oluwole Retirement Support Group’ which is chaired by Hon. Ade Ayeni, Vice Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area with Professor Muyiwa Adeyemi as consultant, is to honour and celebrate the scholar who has impacted greatly on education in Lagos State.
“It is therefore praiseworthy to celebrate this iconic achiever, brother and friend in a grand and memorable way. Hence, the formation of the ‘Dr Ajifowoke Oluwole Retirement Support Group’. This is a Clarion call to us all to support this programme financially and materially to make the retirement activities a huge success.”

Meanwhile, there has been outpouring of congratulations and tributes for Dr. Ajifowoke, a Director in the Lagos State Civil Service, as he gets set to retire from active service.
Dr Timothy A.G. Okeowo, a scholar, while congratulating Ajifowoke, described him as a jolly good fellow worthy of any support.
A traditionalist and retired senior council official, Presy Mickey Odesanya, also congratulating the scholar said he is a progressive with places to go despite his retirement.
“Coongraaaats my real positive minded Bro. Your latter-day has got to be greater than your former. Ogbo Ato E.”
Mr Eunice Martins, also congratulating Dr Ajifowoke on the platform, wrote:

“Congratulations to you once more.
I won’t call this retirement, but a promotion to greater height. I wish you more success… congratulations.”
A friend of the retiring Principal and political associate, Mr Sunaj, also wrote in his tribute:

Adesegun Banjoko in his own tribute congratulated him and wish him rewarding retirement.
