Super Eagles vs Lesotho Match: Lagos Sports Commission Issues Travel Advisory To Motorists

The Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) has issued travel advice to motorists to ease vehicular movement in Lagos during the match between the Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Lesotho that will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.

The match is slated for Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

Mr Sola Aiyepeku, the Chairman of the LSSC, in a release, said that there will be partial restriction of vehicles in and around Surulere on the day of the match.

“This is to inform members of the Public that the  Super Eagles will be playing Lesotho on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

“For easy vehicular movement in and around the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, there will be partial restrictions of vehicular movements in and around the Stadium.

“Vehicles inbound from the stadium from Ojuelegba to Alaka and outbound to Masha area will be partially restricted.

The release also gave further details about the restriction that:

“All vehicular movement around the stadium must stop by 10am.

“This would imply that vehicles approaching Teslim Balogun from Ojuelegba and Alaka/Eric Moore can only pass by on the flyover.

“No car can drive around the stadium from that time till 10pm.

“Only vehicles with VVIP Stickers or carrying persons with VVIP tickets can drive into Teslim Balogun Stadium and park.

“Only cars containing passengers with tickets can approach and enter the National stadium to park.

“No pedestrian without ticket shall be allowed to come close to the stadium”.

Meanwhile, the LSSC Chairman, Mr Aiyepeku, on behalf of the Lagos State Government, appealed to Lagosians to abide  by the travel advisory, stating  that the government regrets any inconvenience this  action will cause during the hours of the closure.
