The Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has lauded the youth of the council for a successful hosting of the maiden Imota Youth Unity Carnival, describing the event as a remarkable display of unity, cultural pride, and youthful excellence.
Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele commended them for the peaceful conduct and for showcasing Imota’s rich cultural heritage, noting that the peaceful atmosphere and orderly procession reflected the maturity, responsibility, and commitment of Imota youths to community development.

According to him, the carnival provided a unique platform for young people from different quarters across Imota Town to come together in celebration, strengthening bonds of friendship while promoting peace and social cohesion.
The Chairman further applauded the participants for proudly showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Imota through traditional attire, music, dance, and other cultural expressions, adding that preserving and promoting local traditions remain essential to sustaining the identity and values of the community.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting youth-focused initiatives that encourage unity, creativity, cultural preservation, and positive engagement among young people.
Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele expressed optimism that the success of the maiden edition would serve as a foundation for even bigger and more impactful editions in the years ahead, while encouraging the youths to continue being ambassadors of peace, progress, and development in Imota LCDA.

The Imota Youth Unity Carnival brought together youths, community leaders, stakeholders, and residents in a colourful celebration that highlighted the strength, diversity, and cultural richness of Imota Town.
