My Representation Will Fast Track Development In Constituency II, Says Hammed Aroyewun

An aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has pledged to use his representation to fast track development in the three Councils that constituted the constituency and Ikorodu Division generally, if elected.

The aspirant gave the assurance when he paid a visit to the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Taiwo Orenuga and his executive members at the new party secretariat located beside the Methodist Primary School, Oba Molaja Ogunlewe Road, Igbogbo, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Aroyewun commended the leadership of the party for its contributions to the growth and development of the party, pointing Mrs Obayomi (Iya Forum) and Mr Taiwo Orenuga, for commendations for what they have been able to do for the party.

He appealed for the unflinching support from the leadership of the party towards the actualization of his aspiration to represent the Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2023, which he tagged, ‘HOA4HOA’23’.

He assured the party leadership that his campaign agenda, which he released during his declaration, contained initiatives and steps that he would use in fast tracking development if elected in the upcoming primary election of the party and eventually in the general elections.

The aspirant also said that he would encourage many people that are looking for ways to contribute positively to the development of the constituency by providing them with avenues to express themselves and engage them in the developmental process.

While responding to comments and advices by  party chieftains, Aroyewun assured them that all their concerns have been factored into his programmes and that they would be implemented to the letter.

He also added that he would be visiting the party leadership from time – to – time to seek advice from them on how to bring development to the constituency.

The party chairman, Mr Taiwo Orenuga who welcomed Aroyewun as in – coming honourable that would represent the constituency, also prayed for his victory in the forthcoming elections.

 He sued for unity amongst party faithful and advised against attacks and harassment of any co-aspirant.

Also speaking, Alhaji Adaboyan, a party leader, urged Aroyewun to also consider the aged men and not only women, in his agenda.

Another chieftain of the party, Alhaji Benson, commended the aspirant for contesting for the Assembly seat, while calling for a serious politicking in Ijede LCDA.

He assured Aroyewun that Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA is for him.

On her part, Mrs. Dawodu also expressed her happiness towards the decision of Aroyewun, whom she described as a youth, to contest for the position. She charged him, his team and supporters to remain focused.

Other leaders that spoke recalled the contributions of the aspirant’s late father to the development of Igbogbo and Ijede and also his mother’s impact in the party. They offered him and his team special prayers for success in the coming primary election.

Hon. (Mrs) Saidat Abudu Odeyemi, speaking on behalf of the HOA team, appreciated the love and words of encouragement from party leaders and women.

She assured them that Aroyewun will do well for the constituents living with challenges and the residents in general.

Also in attendance at the courtesy visit were Alhaji Qudus Oduntan (Secretary), Alh. Sheu Lawal (Youth Leader), Mrs Obayomi (Iya Forum) (Women Leader), Mr. Akeem Sodeinde (PRO), Mr Raimi Oke (Ex – Officio), other officers, Ward Chairmen and others.
