The African Church Bethel Cathedral (ACBC) Ikorodu, on Saturday, July 5, joined family, friends, associates and well – wishers in celebrating an extraordinary woman, a grassroots politician and mobiliser of note and community builder per excellence, Evang. (Comrade) Kehinde Okeowo, Women’s Leader, NULGE Lagos State, in celebrating her 65th birthday.
In a statement by the ACBC Council jointly signed by Prince Adesoji A. ALAGBE, Secretary, Cathedral Council; Engr. Sunday A. Oshin, Cathedral Warden and Ven. Gbenga M. Babatunde, Provost/Chairman, Cathedral Council, in felicitation with the celebrant who is a Permanent Member of the Cathedral Council, President, Youth Christian Association (ACBC Ikorodu), and Deputy Chairman, Women’s League, Lagos West Diocese, the Church prayed and wished her many rewarding returns of the day in blessings and grace.
She has also served at various times as the Harvest Committee Chairman, Chairman, Chieftaincy Committee of the Cathedral and Secretary of the Women’s League.
“On behalf of the Church Management, Cathedral Council and the good congratulation of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, we felicitate with former Harvest Committee Chairman, A Cathedral Council Member, A Lay reader, Chairman, Cathedral Chieftaincy Committee and a Community Leader, Com. (Mrs.) Kehinde O. Okeowo, on her birthday anniversary today July 05, 2025.

The Chairman, ACBC Harvest Committee, Oluwaseyi Adelabu, in his birthday tribute to one of his predecessors, described the celebrant as an exceptional woman of many parts.
“Happy Birthday to a Mother Figure, the Elegant and Iconic Comrade Mrs. Kehinde O. Okeowo, JP .
“Today, we celebrate an exceptional woman, a true symbol of dedication, service, and leadership across the Church, community, and public space.
“You are a retired Community Health Service professional, a unionist of repute, and a former NULGE Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government. Your footprint of service extends to the Cathedral where you have served and are still serving as: Former Secretary of the Women’s League, Former Harvest Committee Chairman, Permanent Member of the Cathedral Council, Chairman, Chieftaincy Committee of the Cathedral and a respected Lay Reader and Preacher,” he said.
Adelabu who is also the immediate past Cathedral Council Secretary also acknowledged the celebrant’s passion for youth, women and general community development.
“Your passion for youth and women development is unmatched as you continue to serve as: President, Youth Christian Association (ACBC Ikorodu), Deputy Chairman, Women’s League, Lagos West Diocese, Women’s Leader, NULGE Lagos State and Women’s Leader, APC Ikorodu.
“You are an outstanding community leader, an advocate for good governance, and a mother to many; offering mentorship, spiritual guidance, and selfless service.
“As you mark this new year of life, we pray that God continues to strengthen you, grant you divine health, and bless you with the reward of your labour. Your legacy of leadership, service, and compassion will surely endure.
“Congratulations and Happy Birthday once again, Ma!”, he felicitated.
