IKODASS, Longe Foundation Register, Counsel Students For GCE

As pledged, 19 students have emerged as beneficiaries of the free GCE forms provided by the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS).

The initiative, which is part of the annual IKODASS Scholarship Scheme, was sponsored by Late Jimoh Owode Longe Education Fund.

But the beneficiaries were not just provided with the GCE forms, they were also registered for the examinations through the Unique Grace Educational Services.

The registration, which was handled by the Director of the educational outfit, Mr Adeyemi Benson, took place at IKODASS Secretariat, Ikorodu Town Hall, on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, Chairman, IKODASS, addressing the beneficiaries, said that the GCE forms and registration are part of the educational support scheme of the social, political and developmental organization in ensuring that both indigenes and residents in Ikorodu are supported.

“As announced about a month ago, we have, again, picked you as beneficiaries of this year’s free GCE forms and we are not just providing you with the forms, but also registering you for the examinations. That is why, today, we have brought a reputable outfit to do that for you”, he said.

“Ours is to facilitate these educational support from well – meaning individuals and groups and this particular scheme is being sponsored by Late Jimoh Owode Longe Education Fund. We appreciate the family for their support for IKODASS and helping us in assisting with our educational initiative.

He charged beneficiaries to ensure that they focus on preparing for the examinations so as to come out in flying colours.

The General Secretary, IKODASS, Mr Seun Elesho, also assured beneficiaries of organization continuous support for the educational developments of youths in Ikorodu.
“Our focus is not just on indigenes, but any Ikorodu residents that are ready to read and pass because we know that they are the future of our community. As an organization, we are ready to support brilliant students and those that cannot afford education”, he said.

“I congratulate you all for being the lucky beneficiaries this year and I have no doubt that you will make us proud with your performance”.

During the presentation and registration, officials of the IKODASS also engaged students on their subject combinations and advised them on course they can study in higher institutions.

In other to have good preparations towards the GCE examinations, beneficiaries were also directed to attend the Free GCE Coaching being organized by The Exclusives Club in Ikorodu.
