
The Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, in partnership with HACEY Health Initiative, organized a free medical outreach for pregnant women
The outreach programme held at the Oke-Eletu Primary Health Care Center on Wednesday.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Ijede LCDA Chairman, Gbolahan Rafiu Omotosho, the medical outreach is aimed at improving maternal health and supporting expectant mothers, provided free health screenings, including: Anaemia checks, Blood pressure checks, Blood sugar checks, Malaria, and Distribution of free birthing materials.
Representing the Council Chairman, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Femi Kabir, described the initiative as a proactive response to the healthcare needs of women in the community.

He urged pregnant women to avoid self-medication, prioritize their health, and take full advantage of the local Primary Health Care centers (PHC).
Speaking on behalf of HACEY Health Initiative, Mr. Waliu Bamidele encouraged women to seek professional medical care throughout their pregnancy journey and emphasized the importance of regular check-ups.
