Ultra – Modern Adeboruwa Palace Nearing Completion Three Months After Construction Commenced

About three months after the commencement of the construction of the ultra – modern Adeboruwa palace in Igbogbo, the one – storey edifice is nearing completion.

The ground – breaking ceremony of the palace was performed by the Chairman of the lgbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Sesan Daini, alongside the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Asiwaju of Igbogbo Kingdom and chieftain of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, another GAC chieftain and former Minister of Works, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Commissioner, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, and former Commissioner, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, among others.

When our reporter visited the site of the construction early last Saturday morning, the wooden partitioning of the roof had been completed and awaiting the proper roofing sheet to cover the building, while the plastering work was also ongoing.
When our reporter visited today, the plastering of the ground floor is almost completed. The plumbing work and other features of the palace have also been done.

Over N400 million was budgeted for the landmark project by the outgoing administration of the council led by Builder Olusesan Daini who has said that the new palace will be pride of Igbogbo people when completed.

“When this palace is completed, it will be our pride in Igbogbo, because it will be an edifice that will be compared to some of the best in the Southwest, Nigeria”, Daini assured during the ground breaking ceremony held about three months ago.

When completed, according to the chairman, the palace will not only have a spacious and modern palace for the day – to -day activities of the kingdom’s administration by the Adeboruwa and his council, but also an office and archives room that will document traditional and cultural values of the people of Igbogbo.

The palace was designed to be a repository of values, history and tradition, where Igbogbo students and researchers can visit to gain knowledge.
The edifice, which would be fully air conditioned, will also have a restroom for Kabiyesi and other amenities.

As the construction work is ongoing day and night without stopping, the Council Chairman is focused on completing another legacy project before his exit from office in July.
