Hundreds Benefit From Sanwo – Olu’s Free Medical Mission In Ikorodu

Hundreds of Ikorodu residents have benefited from health services initiated by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, and the First Lady, Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo – Olu, in partnership with the General Hospital (GH), Ikorodu, towards bringing adequate medical services close to the people.

About 800 adults, youths and children were screened freely for Diabetes, Eyes and Dental problems, and also provided laboratory tests, free medication, general consultation and treatments for beneficiaries at the Ikorodu Local Government Open Ground at Ita – Elewa, Ikorodu.

The medical outreach, tagged, ‘Babajide Sanwo – Olu Medical Mission’, which was held on Monday, was witnessed by the Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, who commended the initiative of the GH, Ikorodu.

The governor was represented by the Chairman, Lagos State Health Services Commission, Dr (Mrs) Atinuke Onayiga who also represented the First Lady, Mrs Ibironke Sanwo – Olu.

While commending the beneficiaries for their patience and wishing them good health, Mr Governor also charged them to ensure that they troop out for the Saturday’s poll and vote for the APC candidates.

“All of us have prayed and we have also tried to have a better Nigeria. On the ballot paper, make sure you cast your ballot properly and don’t be misled”, he charged residents.

“Make sure that you cast your ballot where you can see the broom (APC logo) and make sure you don’t put your fingers elsewhere. May your efforts not be in vain. We know that all of you have your PVCs with you.

“Be reminded that you won’t see the pictures of our candidate on the ballot paper, but the logo of the party. The election of coming Saturday is for Asiwaju. Vote for APC. Thank you so much”, he said.

Permanent Secretary, Health service Commission, Dr. Ademuyiwa Benjamin Eniayewun charged residents of Ikorodu at the medical mission to feel concerned about what is happening in the country. He urged them to vote for Asiwaju Tinubu and all the APC candidates.

“The job at hand now is that of the APC. What is happening now must be a source of concern to everyone, because if the nation is not settled, it will affect everyone one. Someone just requested assistance from me now but I was unable to because there is scarcity of naira notes which now makes us running a cashless policy.

While stating that those planning to destroy the country will not succeed, Eniayewun appealed to residents to rally round and vote for Asiwaju Tinubu as a payback for him.

“We all must come together and vote for Asiwaju, whether there’s fuel or not; there’s money scarcity or not. We will vote for him because he has been taking care of us for the past twenty yearS and this is the payback time, which is why we will vote massively for him”, he said.

“For those that want to push him away, God won’t not allow them. On Saturday, let us do the right thing for Asiwaju and after that we will vote for Sanwo – Olu”, Dr Eniayewun said.

Dr. Bolaji Olukoya, Commissioner II, Lagos State Health Service Commission and former MD/CEO, General Hospital, Ikorodu, charged beneficiaries to prove those he alleged created money scarcity, that have conscience and determined to vote for Tinubu and other APC candidates, despite the challenges.

“Please on Saturday, make sure you go out and vote and we are going to vote for APC”, he declared.

“Don’t mind them, they caused money scarcity and they call it cashless. They believe that without money, you won’t vote, after doing that, they went ahead to make sure there’s no fuel. With all these malady, we will make sure we all vote and our candidates emerge.

The Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer, General Hospital Ikorodu, Dr Taiwo Kamorudeen Hassan, thanked the residents for attending the free medical mission.

While stating that the programme was initiated by the Governor and the First Lady, Dr Hassan enjoined them to vote for Asiwaju Tinubu and other APC candidates on Saturday.

“Thank you so much for coming here this morning. You can see that you are being attended to as you are coming in. This program was initiated by our Governor, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu and his wife, Dr Ibijoke. They are the ones that asked us to do this for the people of Ikorodu for free so that they can benefit from it”, he said.

“On Saturday, we are going to have our Presidential election, please, vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates. Let’s make sure we keep our voter’s cards because we are also going to vote for Tokunbo Abiru and Jimi Benson. Make sure you vote for APC. Thank you”.

Alhaji (Chief) Monzor Olowoshago, Publisher, Oriwu Sun newspaper, also speaking, said that Nigeria will get better with Tinubu as the President.

“You see this coming election, if we vote for Tinubu, things will get better for all of us because I know him and he is my friend. I’m always pained that people do not know the value of Tinubu, but I can assure you today that if we vote for Tinubu, our life and our country will change for good”, the publisher of Oriwu Sun said.

“Congratulations to the people of Ikorodu because we have already started talking about Jimi Benson, may God be with him. I want you to vote for him and Senator Abiru, because they have done tremendously well.

“On Saturday, let’s go out and vote for them. It shall be well with you also. Go and pick your voter’s card and don’t let them lie to you, Asiwaju will make us happy, Jimi Benson is already doing a good job likewise Abiru. May God be with you all”.
