Andus School Has Given Me Priceless Knowledge – Igbogbopedia Winner

The 2022 winner of the Igbogbopedia, Miss Ojikutu Omobadewa, a Senior Secondary School III student at Andus D Great School, Oreta/Offin Road, Igbogbo in Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, has commended her school for impacting a priceless knowledge in her.


As the winner of the competition about Igbogbo, Omobadewa won a trip to South Africa, courtesy of the Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The announcement was made by the Council Chairman, Builder Sesan Daini, during the grand finale of the Quiz and Debate competitions and presentation of prizes at the Council Secretariat Hall, on Monday, November 21, 2022.

Daini also revealed that the winner of the maiden edition of the lgbogbopedia, Master Omirin Opeyemi Samuel, a former student of Zumratul Islammiyah Senior Secondary School, Igbogbo, will be embarking on the promised educational trip to South Africa next year after some delay.

“Andus D Great, my school has impacted a lot in me and it has given me the priceless knowledge that I have today. The school has opened me to a lot of competitions and I am sure this is not going to be my last competition in the school as an outgoing student”, she said.

“I want make good history in Igbogbo”, she added.

The young scholar, who said that she was shocked that her competitors are not better as she taught, also thanked her mum for her encouragement.

“I was just shock, because I believe I will have a lot of competitors. I taught that they know about Igbogbo better than me, but when I emerged as the winner, I was happy and excited”, she said.

“My mum was the one that told me about this Igbogbopedia stuff and she encouraged me to do better”, she revealed.
Speaking on how she felt wining an educational trip to South Africa, Omobadewa who described the opportunity to participate and win as uncommon, added that she felt great.

“I feel on top of the world because the opportunity is not common for everybody. We have a lot of people in my school that are academically sound, despite that, my school still chose me as their ambassador”, she said.

“I intend studying more about Igbogbo”.

In her words of advice to other students, the Igbogbopedia ambassador said:

“My advice to other students is that they should not give up and those that have been given opportunity should use it to the maximum and they should make sure they do their research because this thing is not open to everyone, you just have to do your research. You have to go from home to home and also go to the elderly ones and I assure that they will put you through”, she said.
