The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, has reassured pupils in her council of her administration’s commitment to their educational development.
Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba gave the assurance today while welcoming them and their teachers back to their various schools after a long vacation.
She charged pupils to be disciplined and to focus on their studies as the 2026/27 academic session starts across the state today.

”As our children resume for the 2026/2027 academic session, I welcome every pupil, teacher, and student back to the classroom. Education remains the strongest foundation we can give our children, and it is the surest way to build a better future for them and for our community,” she said.
The council chairman furthered in her welcome,
“As a mother, my advice to our students is to stay disciplined, stay focused, and never give up on yourselves. Believe that you can succeed, no matter the challenges you may face.”

She also reassured the youth and students in Ijede:
“As a government, we remain committed to our children’s education. We will continue to upgrade school facilities, provide learning materials, and ensure our schools remain safe and comfortable places to learn.”
The council chairman also pleaded with parents and guardians to partner with government and the schools to ensure their children’s proper development.
”I urge all parents and guardians to stay closely involved in their children’s education, because it takes all of us working together to raise disciplined and successful children.
”I wish all pupils, teachers, and students a fruitful and successful academic session.”
