Former Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Adeola Muhydeen Jokomba, has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, to ensure that members of the party that are aggrieved from the conducts of the last primaries and congresses are fully reconciled before the 2023 General Elections.

Jokomba, who was also an aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, said that he is sad over the loss of gubernatorial election in Osun State by APC on Saturday and charged that  the party should be abreast with role of technology as it affects the new electoral process.

The politician expressed his dismay in a statement he posted on THE IMPACT WhatsApp platform on Sunday (yesterday).

“Our party is greater than any individual, be it Lagos State party chairman, Assemblies or FG Representative that have assumed the position of the lords of the rings”, he said.

“2023 elections is a different ball game because unknown technology could become the biggest barrier (for those that still relies on past voting pattern. Hence, I will suggest we adopt the present reality! The new methods introduced to our electoral system are straightforward”, Hon. Jokomba charged.

He stated that members of the public are not also happy with the way some of the aspirants were treated, coupled with the harsh effects of the state of the economy in the country.

“We cannot afford to ignore any aggrieved member of our party because what has kept us to this day is our friends and family votes.

“We must understand how nature works. For example, if you enjoy eating Amala all the time, there must be a day when you will feel like tasting something else. The electorate need us to be more sincere and creative, the way we address issues must go with adequate passion for them to see our goals and objectives”, he said.

“Lagos State Governor and our leaders across boards should sit and address issues ranging from the outcome of the last primaries and state congress elections.

“Public opinion is not favorable to our party, Nigerian economy is a major setbacks. We need all our loyalists to understand that our togetherness is key in achieving greater electoral victory.

“Osun is so painful to hear”, Hon. Jokomba lamented.
