All classes in both private and public primary and secondary schools resumed fully on Monday in Ikorodu after about eight months of closure due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Lagos State Government had, in March 2020, ordered closure of all primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in the state.

Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, the Governor of Lagos, following the directive of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in August, directed that schools can be reopened for graduating students in primary and secondary schools across the country, had, in the same month, partially reopened schools.

Unfortunately, while the government was preparing to fully reopen schools, the #EndSARS protest erupted in Lagos and other parts of the country and was later hijacked by hoodlums, a situation which again necessitated the closure of schools.

This, according to report, was done to protect students across the state from being caught in the violent mayhem.

Our reporter’s camera lens captured some students in Ikorodu Local Government and Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area after closing from school today and we brings you some of the pictures below for your delight.
