INEC Declares APC Candidate Winner Of Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly Seat

The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja, the winner of the Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly seat with 16, 338 votes.

He beat his closest rival, Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 7, 241 votes.

The Returning Officer for the Assembly Election, Associate Prof Obalola N.A, announced the results and returned Hon Solaja at 8am  today (Sunday, March 10,2019).

Hon. Solaja was first elected to represent Ikorodu constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2015.

While thanking God, leadership of his party and the people, Hon Solaja also pledged to pursue programmes that would give his constituents dividends of democracy.

“Sincerely, I feel great and thank Almighty Allah and the party leaders and people for making my second term possible.

“We are going to pursue our party’s mandate and our own promises to the people and take them to the next level. This, we have been pursuing since 2015 and we will not derail and we shall make the residents of Ikorodu Constituency II to further enjoy the dividends of democracy.
