TMM United Support Group Reiterates Determination To Get 250, 000 Votes For Tinubu, Other APC Candidates In Ikorodu.

‎The Mandate Movement (TMM) in Ikorodu Division has consolidated on its new found unity by announcing the registration of its platform TMM United Support Group (TUSG) on which it determine to work with the larger All Progressives Congress (APC) and stakeholders in Ikorodu to secure the minimum of 250, 000 votes for President Bola Tinubu’s election and other candidates of the ruling party.

‎The Deputy Leader of the group, Asiwaju Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, announced the registration with Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) leadership at the meeting of the TMM held at the Apalura, Igbogbo country home of Sen. Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, on Wednesday.

At the meeting that was also announced by the leader of the group and a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe as an efforts to unite, galvanise maximum and mobilize their followers towards the achievement of maximum electoral victory for President Tinubu and other APC candidates in Ikorodu, were the Secretary to the group, and former Sole Administrator, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Segun Anifowoshe, TMM chieftain Alhaji Musliu Animashaun.

‎Explaining the purpose of the meeting, Asiwaju Kaoli stated that the TMM leaders have resolved to work in unity towards the attainment of 250,000 votes for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in Ikorodu.

‎“The meeting is an agreement, a coalition and coalition of interests of particularly of Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe and myself, for Ikorodu to reiterate its importance in Nigeria as a whole to show to the world that we are leaders in mobilizing for an election and voting; that in the next 2027 elections that we can make 250, 000 votes from Ikorodu.

‎”If we make that, that is just about 57% of the registered voters as at 2023, in other words it will be more than that when INEC releases the numbers after the 2026 review. But, what we are saying now is to make sure that we record 250, 000 votes in the coming elections.

‎”We are sitting down here to design the blueprint and roadmap on how to achieve the objective”.

‎While further charging political leaders esoecially if the TMN leaders, Asiwaju Kaoli enjoined them to mobilise, know registered voters in their areas and encourage them to collect their PVCs and vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

‎“The charge to our people is to  show seriousness and commitment to buy into this vision. How do we do it? It is to ensure that people around you: your children, siblings and others around get their Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC). That is the first step.

‎

‎

‎“The next step is to make sure that our members are also committed in each polling units – we need people that can mobilize, canvass and as agents and also another strategy us to ensure that we know the numbers of the registered voters in each pooling booth and identify them and their houses and get in touch ti form better relationship with them before the elections

‎“With all these, the 250,000 votes target is doable and achievable”, Asiwaju Kaoli stated confidently.

‎

‎While commending the LGAs that have submitted the harmonized their list, the TMM leader also stated that he has agreed with the group’s apex leader to visit others to create better understanding and inform them why they must be committed and united towards the objective.

‎

‎He emphasized the importance of working in harmony throughout the division for Ikorodu to maintain its electoral relevance, while also informing chieftains of the group that Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, Rep. Babajimi Benson and Hon. Aro Moshodod Abiodun are fully with the group and assured of their support towards the attainment of the projected electoral outcome.

‎Also speaking, Sen. Ogunlewe, who was a former Minister of Works, emphasized that the initiative is the TMM’s way of supporting the APC in Ikorodu Division, especially its apex leadership in achieving desired electoral outcomes come 2027.

‎He too charged chieftains of the group on the need to bury differences and unite towards the common goal.

‎

‎“We can only cement Ikorodu Division’s leadership and relevance through votes and that can only be achieved when there is unity and cooperation among us,” the former Minister of Works stated.

Gbenga Basanya, former Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA among others while Otunba Adebayo Lawson, APC Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA; Captain Benson, APC leader; Hon. Jide Banjoko, former Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA and Alhaji Olakitan, former APC Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA are some of the chieftains that represented the TMM.

‎Hon. Kunle Ogunbela, former Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Iyiola, former Secretary to Ikorodu North LCDA and former APC Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA represented Ikorodu North TMM while Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, former representative of Ikorodu Constituency II represented Imota LCDA and Ijede LCDA was represented by Alhaji Ajala.

‎TUSG is a coalition of the hitherto splinter groups, The TMM GLOBAL MANDATE and  TMM INTEGRITY GROUP led by Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe and Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, respectively who are drawn together by shared vision and goals for the 2027 general elections.

‎The TUSG wholesomely share the purpose and objectives of the RENEWD HOPE AMBASSADORS with total commitment to deliver a substantial percentage of votes not less than 60% of the total registered votes in Ikorodu Local Government in the Presidential and National Assembly and the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.

‎The blueprint of the group is guided by the vision to make Ikorodu Local Government the most politically organized and vote-determing bloc in Lagos State where every Polling Unit delivers the maximum electoral values.
