Ikorodu –Oga Fanti Carnival Gets State Govt’s Endorsement

‎The organizers of the Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival has announced that the annual initiative has been endorsed by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

‎

‎This was revealed in a statemen ‎jointly signed by Comrade Pelumi Olalekan (Rado), Initiator/Coordinator, Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival and Alhaji Kolawole Fatai Olayiwola DCIO, Chairman, Ikorodu –Oga Development Association (IKODASS), the overseeing body.

‎With the endorsement, the Lagos State Government will officially participate in the 2026 edition of the Fanti Carnival which started last year as part of the annual Ikorodu –Oga Celebration.

‎”The organisers of the Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival 2026 are pleased to announce the official endorsement of the carnival by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

‎

‎”The Ministry, having reviewed ‎the proposal submitted in respect of the Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival, scheduled for 14 November 2026 at Ikorodu Town Hall, Lagos, has found the event credibl‎for its endorsement.

‎”As part of the endorsement, the ‎Lagos State Government will participate in the programme in its capacity as a Government institution and partner.

‎

‎The statement added: “The endorsement  further permits the organisers to use the Lagos State Government logo in all its advertorials, posters, branded materials and other official communication items relating to the event.

‎

‎The organizers of the Fanti Carrnival, commended the endorsement, stating that it further strengthens its towards the promotion of Ikorodu and Lagos cultural values and tourism.

‎ ”This endorsement represents an important milestone for the Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival and further strengthens its position as a cultural and tourism-focused celebration promoting the rich heritage, creativity and identity of Ikorodu and Lagos State.
