13 of the applicants for the Lagos State Employment Trust Funds (LSETF) loan facilitated by the authorities of the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), have been presented cheques to support their businesses.
The Executive Chairman, IBLCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) at the presentation urged more residents to take advantage of the partnership with LSETF to upscale or start their businesses.
The beneficiaries are among the 120 applicants who have completed their loan applications with the LSETF.
They received their disbursement during the second edition of “Mentorship with HOA”, a leadership training programme initiated by Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun Chairman, IBLCDA, on Saturday.
”We are in partnership with the LSETF to support your business. Let us take advantage of the opportunities that they are providing. The money is there and there is need to take good advantage of it.”
”Let us start new businesses or expand existing ones and use the money to grow our economy.”
While thanking LSETF, Aroyewun also reiterated his administration’s commitment to continue the partnership for more people to benefit.
”We really appreciate LSETF for the purposeful development of our people, sincerity of purpose and your commitment.
We will continue to partner with you for our people to benefit more of your business support so that we can have development and economic prosperity in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, ” he said.
Aroyewun, on behalf of his administration presented an award to Mr Ibrahim Muhammed, GM Business and Finance, LSETF, as a token of the council appreciation.
Mr Muhammed pesenting beneficiaries to the chairman and other guests said that they are the first set to be cleared among the over 120 apolicants.
He aasured that disbursement will be made to others in batches.
The LSETF official also announced that 500 residents of IBLCDA will be assisted with free CAC business registration as part of the partnership with the council authorities.
Samson Sopitan and Emmanuel Anyanwu received ₦500, 000 each. Some of the other beneficiaries were Marian Mohamed, Abosede Oke, Hadia Eniola, Olaoluwa Odupekam and Waliiat Asabi.
