The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has mourned the passage of the Honourable Councillor representing Ward C5 in his council, Councillor Habib Kunle Anifowoshe (Alapa).
He described the sad development as a dark day in the council, stressing that he was a strong voice for his people.
Anifowoshe, who just completed first year of his second term as a Councillor, died Sunday evening at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.
”It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I received the news of the sudden passage of Hon. Habib Anifowose (Alapa), the esteemed Councillor representing the good people of Ward C5.”
”This is indeed a dark day for our Local Council Development Area. Hon. Anifowose’s death is not merely the loss of a dedicated public servant, but the loss of a voice that championed the welfare and development of his constituents with unwavering commitment.”
Aroyewun paying tributes to the life and times of the late Councillor, said he was part of the giant stride that the council has been able to to make.
”Throughout his service to this LCDA, Hon. Anifowose distinguished himself as a man of principle, steadfast in his pursuit of good governance and the betterment of Ward C5.
”His contributions to our collective progress shall remain etched in our hearts and in the annals of our dear council.”
The council boss also extends his condolences to the family of the late Honourable Councillor and people of Ward C5 over the death of Councillor Anifowoshe.
”To the immediate family, relatives, and the people of Ward C5, I extend my deepest condolences. While we mourn this irreplaceable loss, let us take solace in the legacy of service and dedication he has left behind.”
”May his soul find eternal rest, and may God grant his family the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
