More residents in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), under the GLORY Agenda of Executive Chairman Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, have benefited from its Free Optimal Wellness Outreach into Elepe Kingdom. The health outreach has provided free healthcare services to more than 350 residents.
The outreach was held on Saturday, 15th August 2026, at Methodist Primary School, Elepe. It formed part of the administration’s sustained commitment to bringing accessible healthcare closer to residents across the LCDA.

Beneficiaries received free medical consultations and treatment by qualified doctors and health personnel. Other services included blood pressure, blood sugar and Hepatitis B screening. Residents also received free eye tests and eyeglasses where required. Those needing further medical attention were referred for advanced care. Health education and wellness counselling were also provided.
Recall that the council had staged two editions of the medical outreach at Ward C1 (AUD Primary School, Igbogbo), and Oreyo Secondary School, Oreyo, Igbogbo), where hundreds of residents have benefited from the medical interventions.

Speaking at the outreach, Chairman Aroyewun thanked the people of Elepe for their continued support for his administration. He announced plans to rehabilitate Oba Ijaolu Road in collaboration with Hon. Babajimi Benson, Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
He also highlighted the reconstruction of the C5 Ward at the Elepe Health Care Centre as one of the notable interventions recorded by his administration in the community.
Aroyewun urged residents to continue supporting initiatives that promote the development of the LCDA, while cautioning against drug abuse, stressing that hard drugs can cause irreparable damage to the body.

The council boss urged residents to remain vigilant and specifically advised them to pay close attention to uncompleted buildings in their neighbourhoods and report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
The Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Olowu, in his remarks thanked residents for turning out in large numbers.
Also, Alhaji Qudus Oduntan, Secretary to the IBLCDA also speaking recalled the commitment made by the chairman to the community, noting that the outreach represented the fulfilment of that promise.

Residents who attended the outreach commended the Executive Chairman for the initiative describing the programme as a practical demonstration of the council’s commitment to improving the health and overall well-being of the people of Elepe Kingdom.
