The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II , Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) has unveiled the trophy for the 2026 edition of the AMA All – Stars Unity Football Championship, which kicks off the countdown to the highly anticipated 3rd edition of the annual tournament.
AMA, along with the members of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), unveiled the championship trophy at AMA Hotel and Suites, Ijede, on Sunday.
The championship, proudly sponsored by Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, is aimed at promoting unity, sportsmanship, youth engagement, and community development through football.
The unveiling also officially marks the commencement of activities for what promises to be the biggest edition of the tournament since its inception.
As part of activities leading to the championship, the LOC will also take the trophy around to key government officials, traditional rulers, and football stakeholders across Ikorodu Division and the state, to induce excitement in the build up to the kick – off of the tournament on August 29th, 2026.
According to the LOC, Draw Ceremony for the tournament is scheduled for 22nd August 2026 while the commencement of action and group stage matches play will be between 29th August – 26th September 2026.
There will be Mid-Competition Break on 3rd October 2026 with the Super 8 Stage slated for between 10th – 24th October 2026 and there will be another break on 31st October 2026
Semi-Final Matches will be played on 7th November, 2026, while Third-Place Match is slated for 14th November 2026.
The Grand Finale between the two finalists comes up 21st November, 2026
The organisers expressed confidence that the trophy tour will further strengthen community participation and stakeholder support ahead of another exciting edition of the championship.
