Come July 27, 2026, when the Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun’s administration will be marking his first anniversary as the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) with the laying of foundation for the proposed Smart School.
The school – Zumratul Primary School, Igbogbo, will be located on a portion of land excised from the large expanse of Zumratul Secondary School, Igbogbo, the project was initiated by the council boss, to make primary education accessible to large populations of children in and around Zumratul, Ogunlewe, Selewu, Baiyeku Road, Awobo, Offin/Oreta Road among others.
Aroyewun speaking with THE IMPACT, confirmed that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, granted approval for the laudable initiative.

To prepare the site for the ground breaking ceremony, it was gathered that the Vice Chairman of the council, Barr. Ade Ayeni during the week led the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Quddus Oduntan, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Olowu and others , as the lanr clearing commenced on Thursday.
The landmark school project when completed would be a three -storey classrooms block equipped with digital tools, ICT centre, administrative section, library, healing bay, sporting arena and other facilities.
While presenting the architectural drawing of the proposed structure to selected journalists and bloggers in April during a security media parley, Omo’ba Aroyewun described the proposed landmark initiative as “First of its kind in Lagos State”.

The initiative has been receiving commendations since its conception. It will in matter of days start transforming into a reality.
