Following the fund raising initiated by the management of THE IMPACT WhatsApp platform, to support the families of the late Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Femi Adinlewa, a total sum of ₦1, 728, 102 raised has been shared and presented to his two widows and five children.
THE IMPACT platform, where the late Adinlewa was an active participant until his painful death, initiated and coordinated the fundraising, while other platforms like the Frank Forum, Forthright and others where he was also an active participant, also made significant contributions towards the fund raising.
The money raised between Tuesday, June 30th and Sunday, July 5th, 2026, was shared to the two wives and children on ratio 70:30, with the first wife, Mrs Elizabeth, who has four children, was presented with 70% of the total sum, and the second wife, Mrs Funmilayo Adinlewa and her 3-year -old daughter got 30%.

The Administrators of THE IMPACT had, on Monday, July 6th, 2026, gave detailed account of names of all the donors and amount generated within the six days, across several platforms, with a total of 92 contributors raising ₦1, 728, 102.
Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, made the highest donation of ₦250, 000.
In adherence to its strict culture of transparency, THE IMPACT platform also made public the statements of account showing the amounts in the bank account used for the fund raising, on the date the donations commenced and on the day it was closed.

The media platform also pledged to further make the account public, a week after the closure of the fundraising for transparency and accountability.
According to statement issued after the disbursement of the funds to the late Adinlewa’s families, and signed by the Publisher/Reporter – in – Chief of THE IMPACT newspaper, Kunle Adelabu, it was revealed that representatives of other platforms were invited to witness the presentations.
”We visited the two wives and children of late Femi Adinlewa, separately, as pledged on Tuesday. THE IMPACT team was led by its Publisher/Reporter – in – Chief, Kunle Adelabu, and also included two other administrators- Kenny Mabunmi and Mariam Akinloye.

”The team was joined by two other prominent community members and public commentators, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), lkorodu, and ‘Prof’ Tayo Odesanya, during the visitations. They represented the Frank Forum.
”About seven others invited to witness the presentations, were unable to make it due to official and personal engagements”.
THE IMPACT publisher also stated that aside the presentations of the funds, both wives and their respective children were also offered counsel on judicious use of the funds.
”The sum of ₦1, 728, 102, was shared in ration 70% to 30% to the first wife and his four children, and the second wife and her 3-year old daughter, respectively.

”We offered our counsel which centred around urging the two wives to use part of the sum allocated to them to boosts their businesses, and substantial parts for their children’s upkeep, especially their immediate educational needs.
”At the end of the presentations, both wives and their children were thankful for the unexpected financial support”, the statement further stated.
