Residents of Selewu, Oreyo, Olumo, Ire and Akin Ogunlewe which constitute the Zone 2 of the Central Development Committee demarcation in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) are next in line to benefit from the Free Optimal Wellness Outreach, an initiative of the council administration led by Omoba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA).

The programme which started in May at Zone 1, Igbogbo Town with hundreds of residents benefitting from the community health initiative of the HOA’s GLORY Agenda, which places the health, dignity, and wellbeing of every resident of Igbogbo/Baiyeku at the very heart of governance.

The community initiative will hold at 10:00am at Oreyo Grammar School, Igbogbo, on Saturday, 20th June, 2026.

According to the council authorities, residents are expected to benefit from medical consultation and treatment by receiving one-on-one consultation and appropriate treatment administered by qualified, experienced medical doctors.

It was also stated that residents will benefit from “Blood Pressure (BP), Blood Sugar & Hepatitis B Tests — this allows them to know their numbers. These silent conditions claim lives daily. Through this, they will be tested and be able to take charge of their health everyday.

“We are also offering our people eye tests and free eyeglasses for beneficiaries, because a quality vision is quality of life. Qualified optometrists will conduct comprehensive eye tests, and eligible beneficiaries will receive free eyeglasses on the spot.

In addition, the IBLCDA authorities stated: “Referral services for advanced medical cases will be made available. No one will be turned away. Residents requiring specialist or advanced care will be appropriately referred and guided through the process.”

Also, parts of the services that will be rendered are health education and wellness counselling with health professionals engaging residents with practical knowledge to make better lifestyle and wellness decisions for residents.

The council authorities urge every resident, community leader, religious organisation, market association, and neighbourhood group within Zone 2 to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Omo’ba Hammed Aroyewun led administration.
