Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo- Alogba, the Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has lauded the emergence of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Hon.) the Adefarasin Saheed Hassan, the Ajanaku II, the Alajede of Ijede, as a new era that will usher in peace, unity and bring about cultural advancement with fairness in Ijede.
The council chairman said this in a statement congratulating the monarch on his final coronation ceremony on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Oba Adefarasin was presented with staff of office and the certificate of recognition by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajde Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, 9th January, 2026, when the coronation rites began in Ijede Kingdom.
”On behalf of myself and family, I heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty Oba Adefarasin Saheed Hassan (AJANAKU II) on the auspicious occasion of his coronation as the Alajede of Ijede Kingdom.
“This historic and glorious moment marks the beginning of a new era of peace, progress, unity, and cultural advancement for the entire Ijede Kingdom. Your ascension to the revered throne of your forefathers is a testament to divine grace, noble heritage, and confidence reposed in your leadership by the people.”
She prayed for wisdom for the new monarch and also wished the new Alajede a long reign filled with advancement.
”We pray that almighty God grants your Royal Majesty wisdom, strength, sound health, and a long peaceful reign filled with remarkable achievements and unprecedented development across the kingdom.
”May your reign continue to foster harmony, preserve our rich cultural values, and attract greater prosperity to Ijede land.”
