‎The Incumbent representative of Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, who is seeking return to the LSHA has lauded the massive support of his supporters in Wednesday’s primary election in the 11 Wards in Constituency I.

‎He spoke with THE IMPACT after he was declared the winner of Ward A1, his political ward.


‎Hon. Ogunleye pledged not to let them and the entire people of Ikorodu down if he is re -elected for another term:

‎THE IMPACT: The turnout for the primary election today has been overwhelming. How do you feel?




‎Hon. Ogunleye: I just want to thank everyone for all they have done and for the confidence they have shown in me by voting massively today. The support in my ward has been overwhelmingly in my favour, and from all indications, reports from other venues and centres seem to reflect the same support.

‎I sincerely appreciate the confidence and support the people have given me today, and I promise not to let them down.


‎THE IMPACT: What is your message to your supporters going forward?




‎Hon. Ogunleye: My message is one of encouragement. We need to keep the momentum going because these are only the primaries. We still have the general elections ahead of us next year, and we must continue to work together to ensure victory for our party.
