The administration of Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has welcomed the month of May, stating that the new month offers a new opportunity to refocus and renew commitment to values.
He said while also acknowledging the efforts and commitment of workers whom he described as the engine that is driving the economy.
Omo’ba Aroyewun said the foregoing while commemorating May 1st which is celebrated for the workers giobally.

”As we step into the month of May, I extend my warmest greetings to every resident of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. A new month always offers us an opportunity to reflect, to refocus, and to renew our commitment to the values that bind us together as a people.
”May 1st, celebrated globally as Workers’ Day, is a moment of honour—an occasion to recognise the dignity of labour and to appreciate the men and women whose daily efforts sustain our homes, strengthen our communities, and drive our economy forward. From our traders and artisans to our civil servants, professionals, entrepreneurs, and young people striving for a better future, your contributions do not go unnoticed.
”I salute your resilience, your dedication, and your unwavering belief in progress.”

He reiterated his administration’s desire to continue to create conducive environment for workers by creating opportunities and reward their services.
”Here in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, our administration remains firmly committed to creating an environment where hard work is rewarded, opportunities are expanded, and every resident can thrive. Through the GLORY Agenda, we will continue to pursue initiatives that support livelihoods, improve infrastructure, enhance healthcare, empower our youths, and strengthen community development.
