The Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo-Alogba, on Wednesday, urged residents of the council to be active part of the monthly sanitation exercise coming up on Saturday.
The monthly exercise which has just been re – introduced by the Lagos State Government will be holding for the first after several months of its suspension across the state on April 25 between 6:30 am and 8:30am.
Hon. Gbadebo- Alogba made the appeal in a released official statement.

“Dear Residents of Ijede LCDA, following the re-introduction of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Lagos State by the Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwolu – Olu, business owners, stakeholders, and the entire Ijede residents are enjoined to be part of the exercise.
“The exercise starts from Saturday, 25th April 2026, and continues every last staturday of every month, between 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM.
“CLEANILESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS !!!!,” she added.
The council chairman further stated that through proper sanitation, environment will be protected and diseases prevented.

“Let’s not wait for others to act. A cleaner Ijede LCDA starts with you.
“Clean your surroundings, dispose of waste properly, clear drainage channels to prevent flooding.
“Your participation is essential. Together, we can protect our environment and prevent diseases, ” Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba said.
