After fierce political battle, the Governor of Lagos Stare, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have approved the nomination of Alhaji Kudus Oduntan, as the Secretary to the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Alhaji Oduntan, who was the immediate past APC Igbogbo/Baiyeku LGA Secretary, is one of the political soldiers of Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister of Works, a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and a political Field Marshal.
The Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Supervisors and Special Advisers list, aside from the fact that it addessed several issues and cut across several interests and quarters, also revived old grassroots political soldiers who have long been out of the political power base.
These veteran grassroots politicians were former Councilors in the administrations of Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, first Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and his successor, Hon. Gbenga Basanya, the second Executive Chairman of the council. They are Hon. Bosun Agoro, a former Council Leader, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Legislative Arm, Hon Shakiru Lawal and Hon. Hassan Sheu Adewale (Aganga)..
Others on the list are members of the immediate past administration of Hon. Sesan Daini – Dauda Aina Oshinlaja, Michael Babatunde Ayeni abd Odusanya Abdulateef Omotayo .
Mrs Adenike Dawodu, Idris Akinyemi Ogunyemi, Adeyemi Benson, Toyib Oke, Ezekiel Oluwaseun Oni, Patrick Okonedo, Olamipo Faniyi Hamzat, Olatunde Samuel Olawale and Alliu Hassan Akinyemi, are others on the cabinet list.
