Agile and ever – engaging member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing the Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), will today flag – off the 2nd Edition of the STAR Youth U-17 Football Championship 2025 – a bold initiative that is fast becoming a cornerstone of youth engagement in the constituency.
The championship will simultaneously kick – off across four major centres in the constituency: Elepe, Imota, Ijede, and Igbogbo.
According to the Media Director / Personal Assistant to the lawmaker, Razaq Kabiru Babatunde, the symbolic and official ceremonial kick – off will be performed by Hon. AMA himself at the Luwasa Secondary School, Ijede, by 11:00am, marking the commencement of what promises to be a thrilling and impactful competition.

Rasaq Babatunde said the championship is aimed at not just discovering talents but also promoting unity and cooperation among youths and the entire residents of Ikorodu Constituency II.
“This is more than a tournament — it is a statement. A bold declaration that Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun is investing deeply in the dreams, talents, and the future of young people across Ikorodu Constituency II. In a time where political promises are often empty, AMA is delivering action, opportunity, and inspiration through sports.

“The championship aims not only to spotlight emerging football talents but also to promote values like unity, discipline, teamwork, and resilience — virtues that build communities and nurture leaders.”
He added that Hon. Aro is through his representation helping in creating a desirable future for Ikorodu.
“As matches kick off across all centers, and as the people of Ijede welcome Hon. AMA to lead the official flag-off, one thing is clear: Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun is not watching the future happen — he is deliberately creating it.

“AMA is powering the dreams of tomorrow. AMA is building legacies through sports. AMA is championing the grassroots revolution.
“Let the games begin!“ he charged.
