“Over the past two weeks, I had the privilege of attending one of the most transformative experiences of my public service journey – the Executive Public Leaders Programme (EPLP), at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, UK.
“The EPLP isn’t just a course; it’s a masterclass in modern leadership. It’s a deep dive into the complexities of governing in today’s world, equipping senior leaders with the tools to navigate public sector challenges with clarity, courage and impact”.

He emphasised that the training was not just about thorough class experience, but also one that afforded participants practical insights into tackling real – world challenges, adding that the experience would come handy in his duty as representative of Ikorodu and the country as a whole.
“From tackling real-world policy dilemmas, to exploring adaptive leadership, crisis management, and ethical decision-making, the programme delivered a rich blend of academic rigour and practical insights. The diversity of global leaders in the room, brilliant minds from across diverse sectors in seventeen countries, all committed to building better governments and stronger societies, made it even more unique.

“This multicultural, multidisciplinary exchange was a true eye-opener. It has sharpened my perspective and further empowered me to continue leading with intention, integrity and innovation.
“As I return to my legislative and public service responsibilities, I do so with renewed energy and a sharpened resolve to apply the Oxford experience to real impact – for my constituents, for Nigeria and for the future we must build together”, Rep. Benson said.
