Adeboruwa Offers Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA’s APC Candidates Royal Blessings, Calls For Unity

All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the forthcoming Local Government Elections, have received royal blessings from the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr. ) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali.

The royal father and his chiefs offered the party’s Chairmanship flagbearer, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) and his running mate, Barr. Ade Ayeni, blessings when they paid the revered monarch courtesy visit alongside the leadership of APC and members of the party’s Local Organizing Committee (LOC), on Thursday.

Also receiving the royal blessings were the Councillorship candidates – Hon. Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, C1, Hon. Akeem Solawon, C2, Mrs Saidat Adeoba Odeyemi, C3, Mr Yusuf Olalekan Bello, C4 and Hon. Adekunle Anifowoshe, C5.

Chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, formally presented the candidates to the royal father and his chiefs, and sought their blessings towards the forthcoming elections.

Aside from the royal blessings, Oba Kasali also charged the candidates, chieftains and members of the ruling party on the need to maintain peace and unity among themselves and within the Igbogbo Kingdom.

The royal father pleaded with those that are unable to get the party’s ticket to accept the party’s decision and move on. He specifically warned the Chairmanship candidate against vendetta and urged him to bring everybody together.

“Don’t let us create room for further division, acrimony or vendetta. Let us come together as one and be in unity.

“Hammed (Chairmanship candidate), if you look deeply, you will see good materials among those that initially did not support you and if you have a good approach, they will work with you with a good heart”.

He called on members of the party to work together in the interest of the community.

Oba Kasali also commended the outgoing chairman, Builder Sesan Daini, on how he has embraced the party’s choice.

Odofin Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo, also commended Asiwaju Basorun for sustaining his political relevance by entrusting the governance of the council on youth which he said has brought development to Igbogbo.

He charged the Chairmanship and vice chairmanship candidates to always carry the Adeboruwa and his chiefs along in their administration.

Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, while presenting the candidates to the palace, also commended the outgoing administration which he said will still be commissioning projects.

He charged them on the need to always work together in the interest of the council and its people.

The outgoing Chairman, Builder Sesan Daini, speaking, also called on party members to accept the candidates as those chosen by God, and give them maximum support.

He assured them that the party’s candidate will build on his own success and improve on it if elected and assumed the office.

He charged the Vice Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates to support Aroyewun when he becomes the council Chairman.

The council boss announced during the visit that his administration would be commissioning three primary schools, road and hospital which he said are achievements of his administration, and will be used in campaigning for the forthcoming elections.

The APC flag bearer, Hammed Aroyewun, in his brief remarks, said that he has come to the palace to thank Oba Kasali and his chiefs for their support and for embracing the youths.

He acknowledged that the royal father has been assisting the campaign financially and morally.

He assured them that he will not disappoint them if he is elected as the chairman.

Chief Yahya Agoro, the Apena of Igbogbo and Chief Jelili Oduntan, the Balogun of Igbogbo, offered prayers for the candidates.

Also at the palace were traditional chiefs, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Gbenga Oshin, Director – General, APC Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Campaign, Hon. Sefiu Ogunyemi, APC chieftain, Prince Shakiru Odusanya, APC chieftain, Alhaji Jamiu Abdullahi, APC leader and Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, former Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Pastor Ola Ayetoba, former Chairman, APC Igbogbo/Bayeku LGA  among other.
