-Says he has good idea, mental alertness to administer

The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has lauded the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chairmanship candidate in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for what he called his outstanding ideas and mental magnitude.
He also expressed his appreciation for his popularity among youths and connection with the older generation.
The Chairman, House Committee on Defense who joined the chairmanship candidate in the IKD 106.1FM on Saturday, while appearing on Politics 360 programme, also assured Nigerians of better days ahead under President Bola Tinubu.
“I came in from Abuja and came into the constituency office and the tradition is that whenever I am back and driving to Ikorodu, I always tune my radio to 106.1FM and while on the station I was listening to the candidate and his delivery made my head swell because I was enjoying what he was saying,” Rep. Benson said on the radio.
He stated further: “He was connecting and I decided to come into the studio to surprise him with a short visit but getting in here, I can see that he was surrounded by youths from Igbogbo who are with him in the studio and that makes me very happy because I can see that he is going to run a government of the people.
“The greatest number of people that we have in Nigeria are youths. 70% of the population are actually youths. Apart from that, he is connecting to the older generation too.
“He means well, he is humble and he will be taking over from an outstanding chairman. He is coming in at a time when revenue will be bigger, when we have passed the Tax Bill, which will make local government get more money from the VAT proceeds.
“He also has outstanding ideas, and the mental magnitude. I think the Ikorodu Division this time around has an opportunity to turn Ikorodu into Lagos headquarters and I have every confidence that it will surely happen,” the three -term lawmaker said.
In his message to Nigerians, especially Ikorodu constituents, Rep. Benson said that they should expect more dividends and transformation of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
“Mr President appreciates Ikorodu people because we gave him the highest votes in the last general elections and we are bringing more developments because we delivered and we are still going to be bring more dividends of democracy.
“He has promised to help in turning us into one of the best divisions in Lagos State,” he informed.
Rep Benson also said that the economy is turning around and that ordinary Nigerians are going to have direct benefits soon.
“In his address, he spoke about what he has been doing in rebuilding Nigeria into prosperity. Things are looking up, the exchange rate is stable. The reserve is getting bigger and the inflation is going down.
“We are not there yet because the gains have not really trickled down to the average man on the streets, but in the fullness of time like the next two years, succour will come. Nigeria will attain its eminent position.”
