The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship flag bearer in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has continued to attract support from critical stakeholders in the council.
One of such is the traditional institution, in particular, the Iji Na Fraternity of Nigeria (Awo – Opa), a highly revered and respected group in Igbogbo.
The traditional group held a special prayer session at its Irele grounds for APC candidate during the week, where both women and men’s wing of the Iji – Nla Fraternity prayed fervently for Aroyewun’s victory in the coming July 12 Local Government elections.

They also offered prayers for a successful administration after the election while also pledging their unwavering support for him.
While extending their goodwill to the incumbent chairman in appreciation of his performance and support, members of the traditional group also urged Aroyewun to ensure a transformation of the Irele grounds, which is recognized as the headquarters of the fraternity serving people from Epe, Ikorodu, and Sagamu.

In his response, Aroyewun expressed deep gratitude to the Awo Opa leadership for their longstanding support. “I didn’t plan for this, but you called me as your son to pray, and for that, I am truly grateful.”
He further assured them that the Irele would be given a new and befitting face under his leadership.
