Agunbiade, who was a Students’ leader and pro – democracy activist during the dark period of the military, also charged Nigerians to embrace unity in order to achieve greatness.

“Let’s embrace our freedom, recognise our voice and dignify our unity in diversity as we move into another political sojourn.

“Let’s move the state and country towards greatness in every sector and promote good governance with utmost peace and tranquility.
“May the Almighty God direct our noble cause, guide our leaders right, help our youths to know the truth and may the labour of our past heroes not be in vain.

“Happy Democracy Day. God Bless Lagos State. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
