June 12 Anniversary: Tinubu’s Leadership Reflects Fulfillment Of Long – Cherished Democratic Nigeria – Ijede Council Boss

The Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, has posited that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is entrenching good governance in Nigeria that he fought for with others following the annulment of June 12, 1993 elections.

Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba who is seeking re – election as Ijede council boss, said in a statement marking the celebration of the annulled elections and charged Nigerians, especially Ijede residents on the need to recommit themselves to the ideals of democracy.

“Today, we celebrate Democracy Day; a defining moment in our national journey.

“It is a time to reflect on the resilience of the Nigerian people and our commitment to justice, freedom, and good governance. We honour the sacrifices of our heroes past, the brave men and women who fought tirelessly for the restoration of democracy in our beloved country.

“We are privileged to be led by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a revered champion of democracy and a central figure in the historic June 12 struggle. His leadership today reflects the fulfillment of a long-cherished vision for a truly democratic Nigeria.”

The Council boss also pledged that her administration would continue to uphold tenets of democracy and give good governance to the people of Ijede:

“As we mark 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, let us draw strength from the courage of our past and recommit ourselves to the ideals of democracy. Together, we must continue to build a stronger, united, and more prosperous nation.

“As a government, we reaffirm our dedication to protecting democratic values, promoting individual freedoms, and investing in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure, aimed at improving the quality of life for every Nigerian and all good people in Nigeria.
