The Lagos State Government has stated that the results of entrance examinations into the state model colleges/upgraded schools, are yet to be released and warned parents and guardians to disregard any publication that cut off marks have been released.

Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, gave the warning in a statement, describing the publication as fictitious and fraudulent for insinuating that candidates who scored the required cut-off marks of 50% at any of the State’s Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools will be offered merit admission upon decision by the Examinations Board.

“The purported publication and the content are fake, fraudulent and did not emanate from the state government or any of its agencies”.

The Permanent Secretary, therefore, advised those seeking admission into the state’s model colleges/upgraded schools to watch out for official announcements from appropriate quarters of the state government.

She warned parents, students and guardians to be wary of fraudsters and impostors, as the state government does not engage in clandestine admission processes into the aforementioned or any of its schools.
