-Grand Finale, presentations of gifts hold Wednesday

Winners have emerged in the spelling bee and debate competitions among primary school pupils and students from junior and senior secondary schools within Igbogbo Kingdom in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The finals of the competitions organized by the Igbogbo Students’ Union (ISU) in commemoration of the 2025 Children Education Fund (C.H.E.F) Week took place at AOSTEM Centre, 1, Adeseye Ogunlewe Street, off Akin Ogunlewe Way, Apalura, Igbogbo, on Friday.
This event marked one of the most impactful educational engagements in recent Igbogbo history, inspired by the outstanding participation of pupils and students from various schools.

A total of 15 schools across different categories competed for the top three positions, with participating students thrilling one another and guests with competitive performance, and impressive skills.
Speaking, the President of the Union, Comrade Abdusallam Tijani commended the dedication and commitments of the students, pupils, and their tutors.
He also announced that teachers would be specially celebrated during the ISU @70 celebration and declared that winners from each category would be crowned as A Day Speaker, Vice President, and President of the Union.

In the Primary School category, Gold Line Private School emerged 1st, followed by Movers Private School in the 2nd place and Fattom Private School in the 3rd place.
In the junior school debate competition, Reri Junior Secondary School, Oreta, Community Junior Secondary School, Baiyeku and Movers College, Igbogbo emerged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in the senior school category, Elepe Senior High School, Elepe emerged 1st, Community Senior Secondary School, Baiyeku 2nd and Lagos State Civil Service Senior Model College, Igbogbo 3rd.

During the final competitions, three students were conferred with Honorary Executive Positions (One-Day Leaders). While Rt. Hon. Alimi Khayrah (a student of Reri Junior Secondary Schoo, Oreta, emerged as Speaker of the Union, Comrade Miracle Onwukwa from the Gold Line Private School, Igbogbo, got the position of the Vice President of the Union and Comrade Eze PraiseGod of Elepe Senior High School, Elepe, emerged as the one – day President of the Union.
Meanwhile, the grand finale of the C.H.E.F Week, will be holding at the Multipurpose Hall, Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA on Wednesday, 28th May 2025. All the participating schools, pupils, and students will be awarded prizes, and the honorary executive and parliamentary leaders from the competition will be officially decorated.

The sponsor of the 2025 C.H.E.F Week who is the APC Chairmanship candidate, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, was represented at the event by Henry Ikuesan (Pooker).
