The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, on Thursday, led members of the council’s executive and management team on an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the new Legislative and Customary Court Complex.
The project located within the council secretariat annex at Egbin Road Junction, Ijede, was awarded to Destones Engineering and Construction Limited.

The project, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Gbolahan Rafiu Omotosho, is a key initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots governance by providing better access to legislative and judicial services.
The complex, when completed will feature 16 offices, two legislative chambers, and modern restroom facilities.
During the inspection, the council’s lead engineer, Mr. Oluwafemi Jegede, briefed the delegation on the current status of the project. He confirmed that construction is progressing according to schedule and all work is expected to be completed within two months, after which it will be opened for public use.

Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-alogba expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, commending the contractors for maintaining high construction standards. She reiterated her administration’s strong commitment to infrastructural development and people-centered governance.
According to the Chairman, the new complex will significantly boost the council’s administrative and judicial capacity, improving service delivery to residents across the Ijede LCDA ultimately.
