A former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Prince Bello Yusuf Adeniyi, has charged Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, the chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), on the need for more collaboration with the Lagos State Government and elected representatives in Ikorodu, to compliment her works when re – elected into the office.

Prince Bello gave the charge at Egbin, on Tuesday, while endorsing the council boss for another term.

He also commended the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abodun (AMA), whom he said is delivering on his mandate and assured him that the people would re – elect him as well for the second term when the time comes.

“Ijede LCDA, under the present chairman, has been progressing, but I believe she can do more with the help of the state government. Thank God we now have good representatives at the House of Assembly in person of Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, and they are collaborating, and also Hon. Jimi Benson, the Julius Berger of Ikorodu who is doing wonderfully well. There is also Senator Abriu.

“They are working together and she really needs to collaborate more with them so that together, they can work towards the second phase of Ijede road from Gbodu. This would be a great feat and would serve our community well.”

The former aspirant also commended the council boss for the impact on security and empowerment, and enjoined the people of Ijede to give Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba, another term to do more for them.

“When it comes to security, I give it to the council, and also empowerment of women and people of Ijede. The council under her administration has also done well in other areas. Generally, they have been trying.

“I believe so much in a constructive criticism, but not destructive one,” Prince Bello added.

“I will say this to the people of Ijede, to appreciate Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba and give her second term as the chairman of Ijede LCDA.”, Prince Bello added.

Prince Bello charged the young council boss on the need to collaborate more with the state government and elected representatives in bringing dividends of democracy.

“My expectation, like I said earlier, she needs to collaborate more with the state government and other representatives. There are a lot of thing that we can benefit from the aquatic splendor around us and we want the state and our representatives to support our council in this regard.

“We need to have a standard terminal to convey our people to Victoria Island, Ajah, Badore and Lagos Island among other things that we can do with the body of water that surrounds us”, he said.
