“Dr Nurudeen Oshinlaja is a man of several parts and many firsts. He is one whose life trajectory has been essentially characterized by excellence, from being the senior prefect in Zumratul Islamiyyah College, Igbogbo, to being President, Igbogbo Students’ Union.

“It is a clear fact that bagging a first class degree from any university at all is no small feat, Dr Nurudeen did not only achieve this pridefully, but he did it in the University of First Choice and Nation’s pride, he also finished top of his class and joined the exclusive and very short list of eminent persons who have made a first class degree from the Geo-Physics department.

“As it is consistent with erudites and full-bright academic scholars, Dr NURUDEEN is a recipient of several scholarships and academic laurels, his doctoral research was enabled and funded by the Cardiff University Vice- Chancellor’s International Scholarships for Research Excellence. Dr Nurudeen has also attended and presented at academic conferences at Universitat Politecnica De Valencia, Spain, Cambridge University, UK, Oxford University, UK and University of Bristol inter Alia”.

Aroyewun said that Oshinlaja is not an elitist scholar, but one with close connection with the grassroots, especially his community – Igbogbo, adding that through this, he has developed strong native intelligence.

“Dr Nurudeen Oshinlaja is never a frosty or anti-social scholar, he is affable, street wise and possesses the native intelligence to survive even in the most notorious locality. He connects even at the lowest level and switches swiftly where and when the need arises”, he said.

“Despite his academic trail that has taken him far away, Dr Nurudeen is so close to his locality to the extent that if you do not know him too well, you will never know he is not in the country. He provides moral, financial and academic support constantly to every good cause”.

He also acknowledged Oshinlaja’s role in the last general elections in the country.

“His sterling impact is also being heavily felt in the political space. He played a very prominent role in the last general elections in Nigeria. Aside coordinating one of the most decent campaigns by a House of Assembly aspirant in Lagos State, he served as a member of a recognized support group for the election of BAT/SHE as President and Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria”, he said.

“We Congratulate this highflier on yet another accomplishment. We pray for bigger victories and more global successes”.
