Idowu is an educationist and an astute administrator and a member of Authentic Nigerian Football And Allied Sports Supporters Club.

His plans, if elected as a Legislator, are:

“Firstly, my goal is to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich by providing a qualitative education programme for the children as well as the young adults.

“Also, securing the lives and properties through provision of improved security by which there will be more security personnel that will be patrolling 24/7 across the constituency. This will bring about a drastic socio- economic development in the community.

“I will also use my legislative office to achieve the following for the people of Ikorodu: Provision of free transport for all students on daily basis to their various schools within the constituency; there shall be free educational materials which will be distributed to the students at the beginning of every term to encourage them in their education pursuit; rehabilitation of dilapidated social facilities, like roads, street lights and drainage etc.

View On Representation Since 1999 Till Date:

“If we have to be sincere with ourselves without mincing words, it has not been encouraging at all and with the emergence of our party, Action Alliance, in Ikorodu, I am very sure that the people of Ikorodu will experience a tremendous transformation, both socially and economically.

“It is worthy of note that constituency allowance is meant majorly for constituency projects; for the good health of the populace, but the reverse is the case in Ikorodu. That is why we said we can’t continue this way. We are saying, enough is enough.

“In summary, Ikorodu has not been able to get a good representative who have the interest of the people in mind.

“I can assure the people of Ikorodu that if I eventually emerge as the winner come March 18th, there would definitely be a great change. Our eyes have opened and we can no longer continue with their blind folding and shadow form of government.

“I represent the less privileged and the poor masses. That’s why I am known to be ” OMO MEKUNNU”.

“Yes, there’s constituency allowance enough to cater for the people of Ikorodu in terms of security, roads, electrification among others. I must be sincere with you sir, I don’t know the amount but it’s enough to take care of every constituent.

Resolving Representation Problems:

“The only solution is for all hands to be on deck and make sure the untapped potentials are maximally utilized. That’s trying to put the round peg in the round hole. Thank God that Ikorodu is blessed with a lot of erudite people in every facet of lives that can bring solutions to all emerging issues in the community.

“Untapped potentials may be in terms of natural resources, human resources and the likes, but the only solution to every problem is to adequately tackle them using the right set of people and Ikorodu has quite a number of them if given the opportunity to showcase their knowledge.

“I tenaciously believe that I am one of those that can be solutions to our myriad of problems”.

Mrs Bukola Iyabo Ogunnote attended Oyo State College of Arts and Science (OSCAS), Ile-Ife and also attended both the University of Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba, Lagos.

Her Legislative Agenda:

“To serve my people selflessly and see to it that they have better ways of living, especially my immediate constituents.

“To ensure transparency; empowerment in all ramifications; poverty Aaleviation and job creations for youths, momen and all those who deserve it.

Pressing Matters In Her Constituency Needing Urgent Attention:

“The most pressing matters for now is a good source(s) of livelihood, ranging from: comfortable accommodation; food, water supply; good road network that will create accessibility to wherever they may want to go; and the provision of good medical care to mention but a few.

Her Plans For Entertainment, Tourism & Arts Development In Ikorodu:

“By the special grace of God, I intend to turn Ikorodu into an enviable city with interest in entertainment. It has always been in my plan to have a Film Village here, and this will come to be by God’s grace.

“Commercialise this City by collaborating with the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, to create more tourist centres in Ikorodu. And you know what that means; more revenues for us.

“Discover new talents and give them platforms to showcase their raw talents, and also empower them by creating job opportunities for them alongside the profession.

“I will bring in and establish more Film/Acting Schools for interested individuals. This is another way of creating more jobs for youths and adults alike.

“Part of the development plans is to also organise training sessions for interested individuals, both in the formal and informal ways”.
