The hip-hop fuji musician, Joseph Oluwafemi, popularly known by his stage name, ‘Femi Satoshi’, who was reportedly abducted by kidnappers, has been released late Wednesday night.

THE IMPACT gathered that the graduate of the State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), was allegedly abducted in the early hours of Saturday, December 31, 2022.

According to chats on the WhatsApp platforms of the alumni association of LASPOTECH, his friends claimed that they became aware of his predicament following the video evidence sent to his class group chat.

It was gathered that the video was a ‘view once message’, sent to his colleagues, on his abduction.

It was also gathered that his abductors demanded N10million as ransom which was later lowered to N5million.

Meanwhile, one of his friends who is a rap act called ‘ThaDragon’, broke the news of his release to THE IMPACT on Thursday, though, he added that he was yet to speak with him.

“This morning, the call I got from his family friend was about his release late night yesterday (Wednesday). I’m yet to hear from him but he has been confirmed released, and he’s now home with his family”, the rap act said.

“Thank you very much for your concern and efforts sir, may God continue to bless and enlarge your coast.

“On behalf of FEMI SATOSHI, we’re grateful sir”.

However, THE IMPACT could not confirm if any ransom was paid to the kidnappers before the music artiste was released, as at the time of filing this report.
