Former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, has called on residents to come together to build a better community, State and Nigeria as whole.

Aroyewun, while felicitating Muslims on the Eid-Kabir celebration, said that people should use the period of the celebration as a time to reflectect on what they are willing to offer the society.

The young politician, who was nominated for a Commissionership position by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in lkorodu Division in 2019 when the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu came on board,, gave the charge in his Sallah message issued on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

“This is specially wishing all of us a happy Sallah. I pray we witness many more of the season in piety, peace and prosperity”, Aroyewun said.

“Every Eid-il-Adha presents an opportunity for a sober reflection on the significance of making sacrifices for humanity. Beyond the usual religious symbolism, this particular Eid speaks to the need to, more than before, rededicate ourselves to bettering our collective goals”, he charged.

“Each of us is capable of making useful contributions here and there. We cannot keep squinting at issues without taking concrete actions.

“We should summon our innate courage and optimize our resources to do the needed work. The myriads of challenges facing us locally, statewide, and nationally mean that our devotion must not shrink one bit and our doing good must be both far-reaching and at jet speed.

“Thank you and enjoy the holidays”.
