An Information Technology (IT) expert and entrepreneur, Mr Isikalu Bolaji Olanrewaju, has declared his intention to seek an election into the Lagos State House of Assembly come next General elections in 2023.
Isikalu is aspiring to represent the people of Ikorodu Constituency I, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He made his declaration in a letter of intent, a copy which was sent to THE IMPACT on Sunday.
According to Isikalu, his aspiration is hinged on change in representation for Ikorodu constituents.
“I write to formally inform you of my intention to represent you at the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2023 General Elections”, Isikalu said in his letter of intent.
“My desire to join active politics, through this ambition, stemmed from the need for a complete shift in the representation of our Constituency.
“Having experienced the same representation for straight 16 years, it is time for a complete Generational, Paradigm and Mind Shift in Ikorodu Constituency 1”, he said while stating the reason for his aspiration.
“To this end, I have pitched my tent with the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC)”.
He also said that he is responding to the yearning of the people calling for change and that he’s ready and willing to offer himself to represent them.
“I, Isikalu Bolaji Olanrewaju (IBO), humbly present myself as the much-anticipated SHIFT AGENT, to provide virile representation that is capable of espousing better life, through effective representation for all at the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA)”, he declared.
“I, hereby, seek for your robust and practical support towards repositioning our Constituency for the better.
“You would agree with me that daily happenings around us have rendered silence / inaction useless and criminal. Whereas, the silent scream of our people for dynamic, practical and quality representation is growing louder by the day”, the aspirant said.
“No doubt, we need a paradigm shift from the conventional representation. We need a youthful, proactive, responsible and responsive personality that can lead the required shift to a new lease of life for the good people of Ikorodu Constituency 1.
“The forthcoming 2023 General Elections presents us another golden opportunity to rewrite the story of our Constituency for the better and with your support, we can collectively make this happen.
