The second edition of the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS) Indoor Games youth Championship will be held today in Ikorodu.
Unlike the first edition where four indoor games were staged, this edition only accommodates Chess games.
About 30 participants are expected to take part in the tournament that will be played at the Dreamland, 23, Abiodun Ogunleye Street, Solomade Estate, Ikorodu.
According to IKODASS Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, the Under -12 Chess Tournament is designed to promote the playing of the game among children.
He also said that the association is promoting the game to also make young men develop the capacity for critical thinking and strategic engagements which he added that the game is all about.
In a chat with THE IMPACT, Mr Erogbogbo revealed that there are prizes for the winner and the first two runners – up as well as other participants
