Commissioner Olusanya, Oba, Ogunlewe, Others Win Maiden Lagos Youth Awards

Ms Bisola Ruth Olusanya, Commissioner for Agriculture and Comrade Olalekan Biliamin Oba, State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN),

The Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Ruth Olusanya, State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Lekan Biliamin Oba and Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, have emerged as winners in the maiden edition of the Lagos Youth Awards.

While Olusanya won the Most Outstanding Young Person in Public Service, Oba emerged winner in the Youth Advocate of the Year category and Moyosore won in the category of the Most Outstanding Young Person in Governance.

The award dinner was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, on Sunday, December 26, 2021, and was themed, “The Working Tribe”.

Also, Muktaar Tinjani emerged as co – winner in the Most Outstanding Young Person in Public Service category while Mobolaji Ogunlende is the Young Person of the Year.

Other winners were Aminat Idrees (Most Outstanding Young Person in Sports); Damilola Oduolowu (Media Personality of the Year); Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi (Most Outstanding Young Entrepreneur); Odunayo Eweniyi (Most Outstanding Young Person in Tech); and Aisha Raheem-Bolarinwa (Most Outstanding Young Person in Agriculture).

Also, Dami Ajayi (Most Outstanding Young Person in Arts/Literature), Mr Macaroni (Most Outstanding Young Person in Entertainment), LASWA (Youth Brand of the Year), Tolu Olaloye (Most Outstanding Young Person in Person In Legal Practice) and Dr Tunde Ajayi (Most Outstanding Young Person in Health).

Meanwhile, Comrade Oba, in his reaction after being awarded, thanked the youths in the state for the massive support he received.

He said that the award is a call to further service.

“Thank you Lagos youths for voting massively for me. This Award is an indication that we have so much work to do and of course, there’s still much to be done for the Youth constituency”, he said.

“Be rest assured that we will not relax in our pursuit for better coordination and true representation of our space.

“This Award is dedicated to you all. Thank you for the votes and the love”.
