It was another memorable timeout for about 500 kids in Ikorodu on Thursday, December 23, 2021, as Pepc Foundation staged the second edition of its Christmas party for children.

The venue of the event, Ita Elewa Youth Centre, Ikorodu, hosted a large turnout of kids most  of whom were accompanied by their parents.

The party tagged, ‘Secret Santa Party With Children in Ikorodu’, was organised in partnership with Ikorodu Bois, the online comedy group globally known for recreating movies and music videos.

Kids from orphanage homes also had the opportunity of enjoying the season with their peers.

There were games, dance  and lots of fun for the kids while food, drinks and ice cream were made available by the organisers to give participants great outing.

Speaking with THE IMPACT in the company of Ikorodu Bois, the founder of the group, Mr Babatunde Sanni, said that they felt happy to identify with kids in Ikorodu.

He said further that the party was a great way to celebrate the season, especially with children who do not have means of enjoying the season with their peers.

“My team and l are so honoured to be part of the Pepc Foundation’s Children party”, he said.

“We were just brainstorming with the founder of the foundation on what to do for the kids during this yuletide season and he came up with this idea.

“It is a good way to celebrate the kids and give them a memorable Christmas season”, he said.

“The planning has today become a reality and it has actually made a lot of sense and I can assure that Ikorodu Bois will be part of next year’s version and subsequent ones too”, he assured.

Babatunde said that the party provided many children who do not have the opportunity to celebrate, to enjoy the season.

“We are here today to celebrate with the children because there are lots of them who don’t have the opportunity to meet their peers, celebrate the season, have fun and meet with Santa Claus, eat pop corn and lick ice cream with their peers”, he said.

“These are some of the kids that we have gathered here today to celebrate with.

“We are here to be part of giving kids in Ikorodu the opportunity and the platform to celebrate the season and I am glad that we are part of it”, he said.

He also pledged continuous partnership with Pepc Foundation in providing platform to celebrate lkorodu children.

Kids that attended the the party also had the opportunity to meet with Santa claus who gifted them bags containing gift items.
