Again, Onyabo Commander, Akogun Labinjo Honored With Gallantry Award

Akogun Lanre Olabinjo with the Gallantry award presented to him by Egbe Gbogeniyi, lkorodu on Sunday.

It was yet another honour for  the Onyabo Vigilance Group Commander, Akogun Lanre Labinjo, as he was given yet another gallantry award by a Social Club, Egbe Gbogeniyi ( Beauty Club), lkorodu, in recognition of his efforts in sanitising and ridding lkorodu community of criminal elements.

The‘Outstanding Gallantry’ award was presented to Labinjo who is also the Akogun of Batoro Kingdom, at a special event organized by the social club in Ikorodu on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

According to the club, Akogun Labinjo was honoured in recognition of his sterling contributions to the maintenance of peace and security in Ikorodu Division.

The leader of the community vigilance group, who recently charged council chairmen, leaders and other stakeholders over the state of security in Ikorodu, has received many accolades and honours in recognition of his role in leading his men to tackle cultism and other criminalities across the division despiteserious challenges and lack of support for their operations.

He has also been serving lkorodu community for about two decades as a co-founder of the United Area Clubs (UAC) and Onyabo Vigilance Group.
