Coronavirus: Lagos Discharges 32 Nigerians, 10 foreigners

The Lagos State government, on Friday, discharged additional 42 Coronavirus patients, comprising 32 Nigerians and 10 foreigners, after testing negative twice for the disease.

Governor of the State and Incident Commander, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed in an update on the epidemic.

According to the Governor, recovered patients were discharged from Gbagada, Agidingbi, Eti-Osa (LandMark), Onikan and LUTH Isolation Centres after full recovery and testing negative to COVID19.

“Today, 42 #COVID19Lagos patients; 17 females and 25 males including 10 foreign nationals were discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society” Gov. Sanwo – Olu said in the release.

“The patients; 8 from Gbagada, 5 from Agidingbi, 15 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) 6 from Onikan and 8 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID19.

While reminding Lagos residents that wearing of face mask is compulsory in public, Gov. Sanwo – Olu also appealed that other stipulated directives in curtailing the spread of the virus in the State must be strictly adhere to.

“Remember, it is now a criminal offence in Lagos State to go out without using a facemask. Let’s continue to adhere strictly to all public advisories given by government #ForACOVID19FreeLagos.
